Don’t forget your Chia Bia if you wanna go to work! Over the last couple of weeks the team from Chia Bia HQ has been taking to the streets of the southeast to try and encourage healthy eating in the workplace. We’ve called to factories, offices, canteens and cafes across the region with samples, recipes and our delicious Chia Bia Bites, which were developed by our inhouse product specialist Noirín O’Dwyer…with one simple message –  “To improve nutrition, add chia seeds.”

Chia Bia chia seeds can be added to just about every dish boosting the nutritional value, without affecting the flavour. By handing our new single-serve sachets to people we are giving them a chance to ‘try before you buy’ and to think about how to use the seeds in the most convenient way to suit your lifestyle! Many cafés and canteens are now offering Chia Bia as a topping for porridge, salads or an additional ingredient in smoothies.

Chia Bia Bites
Makes 12 Energy Balls
2 tbsp Whole Chia Seeds 2 tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
2 tbsp Almonds 6 Pitted Dates
2 tsp Cacao Powder 1 tbsp Coconut Oil,
2 Heaped tbsp Peanut Butter Pinch of Salt

1. Melt the Coconut Oil
2. Place all the ingredients into your food processor.
3. Blitz until a sticky dough forms.
4. Scoop up the dough and roll into balls.
5. Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes before devouring!
